Q: Who are you?
A: Arisu is a Japanese theme store that focuses on Japanese pop-culture like anime, manga, kawaii and more. Our store carry mostly mainstream and popular Anime but we also brings specialty and niche themes based on customers requests (our specialty themes will change on a weekly basis).
Q: what does "Arisu" mean?
A: Arisu means “Alice” in Japanese and it’s a tribute to our first store “Alice in the Village” which is located in Old Mystic Village. Alice in the Village opened in 2016 and is an "Alice in Wonderland" themed tea and gift shop.
Q: Where are you located and what are your hours?
A: Our Mystic store is located at Olde Mistic Village in Mystic CT, our 2nd location will be in Fairfield CT and is scheduled to open in May 2024.

Q: What products do you carry?
A: We carry over 10,000 products that includes: anime merchandise, manga, cute kawaii items, origami kits, cloths, blind boxes, houseware, kitchenware, video games merchandise, traditional Japanese items, makeup, retro items, art and posters, figures, DIY kits, Funko pops, Japanese food, drinks, snacks and a lot more!

Q: What kind of food do you carry at your market?
A: we carry a lot of authentic imported pre-packed Japanese foods like instant ramen, different kinds of Japanese noodles, Japanese grocery items, snacks and chips, sweets and candy and ice cream, Japanese drinks and anime theme drinks.
Q: Is your store kids friendly?
A: Absolutely! We do not carry anything that is sexually explicit in the store and we have tons of age appropriate products for kids as young as 3 years old.
Q: Can I bring my dog to your store?
A: Unfortunately no. Because of our food market, health regulation doesn't permit pets inside the store. This exclude service dogs.  
Q: What kind of in-store games do you have?
A: We have authentic Gashapon machines in the store ready to be played as well as retro arcade games that are free to play.
Q: Do you have an online store?
A: Not yet but we are working on it.
Q: Do you have events coming?
A: Yes, we are working on several big events and appearances at the store.
We will post on social media all the details once it’s finalized.
Q: Can I special order a product or manga?
A: Yes, we’ll be happy to place special orders for you. Just call / email or come to the store and we’ll be able to help you.
Q: Do you accept suggestions for Manga or anime to carry in the store?
A: Yes! Feel free to email or DM us with any suggestions.
Q: When it’s the best time to visit?
A: We suggest coming during the week. 10am usually is the best time to visit.
Q: I don’t know anything about anime or manga but I’m very interested to start reading- where do I begin?
A: No worries we are here to help! Our amazing employees are all experts in anime and manga and we’ll be able to suggest the best manga to start reading based on your personal preference.
Q: Do you sell gift cards?
A: We do! In store and online.

“Alice in the Village” - an Alice in Wonderland inspired store and tea room. 
“Alice’s Little Haunted Bookshop - A Victorian themed bookshop based on Lewis Carroll library that features dark, horror and forgotten books.
“The Cloak and wand” - A fantasy store and a potion bar dedicated to the wizards and witches of folklore, myth and literature.
